DAVID BROWN STEWARD SOUND HEALING  –  FOR CANCER PATIENTS

A dear friend and supporter of the Nada Yoga Foundation, David Brown Steward played an integral role in shaping the foundation and its practices. He founded the Kelly Ann Brown Foundation in memory of his late Sister in order to explore non profits that benefited the mostmarginalised in society. A generous and enthusiastic being he touched many lives through his positivity and energy. In June 2018 David left us after a lengthy battle with cancer. This program is dedicated to his memory and the principlesand ideas he stood for.

Our sound healing for cancer programme is designed to reach out to patients from the more marginalised and underprivileged sections of society. Battling cancer is overwhelmingly stressful for both patient and family. The stress from the disease contributes further to the condition. Several recent studies indicate that combating stress can have lasting positive impacts on the fight against cancer. Coping strategies are known to lower levels of the depression and anxiety that usually accompany the disease.

One can derive the benefits of Nada Yoga by simply sitting comfortably. The practice doesn’t require practitioners to get physical or get into difficult yogic postures. The benefits from experiencing the sound and subtle frequencies are quite immediate and profound. Our Nada Yoga healing for cancer combines sound and various breathing techniques to lower levels of stress and anxiety. The simplicity of this form of yoga allows patients to use it easily as a tool to manage their challenges in a holistic way.

The foundation is currently working with various cancer healer institutes and cancer support organisations to share the foundation’s meditation techniques. We have so far, received only positive feedback from our initial involvement and hope to reach out to as many cancer patients in the future.
